Demandforce Phone: From 0→1 to Market

Turning a new phone product into a clear, compelling story.

How I took Demandforce Phone from concept to market—building the positioning, GTM strategy, launch assets, and sales story around a new product category for Demandforce.

Role: Product Marketing · GTM · Positioning · Launch
Product: Demandforce Phone
Scope: 0→1 Product Launch

Practice teams are constantly balancing ringing phones, patient questions, scheduling, and everything else that happens at the front desk.

And when a call goes unanswered, the opportunity can disappear: 85% of patients won't call back after an unanswered call.

Demandforce had an opportunity to solve a bigger part of that problem by bringing the phone experience into the same platform practices already used for patient communication and marketing.

The challenge: take a brand-new product from concept to market and give customers a reason to see it as more than just another phone system.

Practices can't afford to miss the phone—but most phone systems weren't built around the realities of a busy front desk.

The Strategy: From "phone system" to a smarter way to capture every patient opportunity.

The product had a lot of capabilities. The story needed to be simple.

I developed the positioning and GTM strategy around a central customer insight: the phone isn't just a way to answer calls—it's one of the most important moments in the patient journey.

That meant connecting individual features back to the larger business problem:

  • Smart Caller ID — Give teams context before they answer.

  • Missed Call Text — Automatically follow up when a call goes unanswered.

  • Remote Access + Mobile App — Keep the practice connected beyond the front desk.

  • AI Receptionist — Help patients get answers and support, even when staff can't pick up.

  • Voicemail-to-Text + Call Analytics — Make it easier to manage and understand every call.

Rather than launch each feature as its own story, I built a messaging framework that positioned Phone as part of a larger communication platform, helping practices connect with more patients, reduce missed opportunities, and make the front-office experience easier.

Results

Demandforce Phone didn't just expand the product—it made the platform more valuable to practices by bringing another critical part of their daily workflow into the same ecosystem.

By connecting phone, texting, and patient communication in one platform, Phone increased the number of ways practices could rely on Demandforce every day, creating a stickier product experience and strengthening the overall customer relationship.

The launch didn't just add another product. It increased the reasons customers stayed.

There was a 74% increase in retention from customers who added phones to their Demandforce. By expanding Demandforce into the phone workflow, we made the platform more integral to how practices communicated with their patients, and significantly increased customer stickiness.
